What Do We Do?
We provide legal advice to clients with low to middle income and special medical needs to determine if they qualify for certain government benefits such as Medicaid, and assist them in obtaining these benefits.
  • determine if medical needs are such to require institutional care;
  • analyze all monthly income of any type to see if the income test is met;
  • give counsel on pre-application status and develop a written action plan;
  • design irrevocable qualified income trust ("Miller Trust") when required;
  • assist client with the formal Medicaid application process;
  • attend various meetings with client and the Department of Children and Family Services' social worker;
  • attend and represent client at Fair Hearing;
  • appeal denial of benefits rulings;
  • educate the client on Florida Medicaid regulations.
